I had a dream but I called it a plan
Who: Raphael and ANY ONE.
What: Raphael just arrived, he'skicking the cage looking around.
When: Day 46, all day
Where: Anywhere!
Warnings: Will be updated as needed!
Raphael had toyed with the thing on his wrist for a bit before going outside. Once or twice he attempted to fly passed the edge and ended up stuck there and having to walk back until he could fly again - but he made a map of those areas, and after a few attempts avoided them in favor of the woods, park, and buildings. As he pops in and out, there's a faint sound of thunderclaps and wings beating, but otherwise, nothing to announce him

Well, no matter.
"Typically," she said, "the way these sort of things go is that one introduces oneself. Of course, I don't know what world you come from. So if I've just said something entirely offensive, I do apologize. I'm still in the process of adjusting to the whole notion of different worlds, you know. Quite confusing."

"Is it truly such a foreign notion? I've always known of them, though I rarely leave my own." And this was the first time he'd been taken there by forces unknown, which when added to his inability to leave, left him in a less than personable mood.

"Well, I'm afraid many of the rest of us are still trying to play catch up," she said, careful to keep her tone even, despite the hotness she could feel rising. She suddenly felt as though she were comparing titles with an Invictus Prince. An effort that was always futile, frustrating, and, at the end of the night, utterly pointless.
And that reminder helped her to release some of the tension in her jaw.
She smiled easily. "Are you going to tell me your name or not? I can always make one up for you."

Raphael cocked his head, not breaking eye contact, but a movement suggestive of looking around. He was seeing her as less and less a threat. And what wasn't a threat reigned the peacocking in.
"Raphael. My name is Raphael."
no subject
But that stopped her. Questions like that were rather foolish around here, weren't they? With Castiel and his lily white arse running around all over the place.
And damned if 'Raphael' didn't have the god name. El.
Bloody hell.

"Like the archangel." A correction in rank, in status, because archangels were the princes of Heaven and he had reigned as junior leader for thousands of years - now, he was left in charge.

But she shoved those thoughts aside. Mina's pride was bad, but the Queen's pride was worse. She knew that. And she wouldn't surrender to it so easily. Nor so foolishly.
"Doctor Mina Barrett," she replied, declining to offer him a handshake.
no subject
"What kind of doctor?"
no subject
And the people here were stubborn.

"You can practice medicine around bleeding patients?" Vampires - at least most - didn't have the control, not that he was used to.

Bare arse kitchen display aside.
She smiled wanely. "I've never been fond of wellness care. My talents are better at serving those in need. To say nothing of the fact that most wellness care is pediatric and I can't fathom spending any more time than strictly necessary with screaming children."

Raphael had a slightly different preceptive on 'monsters' than others - humans needed predators. It was those who couldn't control themselves Raphael too exception to.
no subject
Damn Fae.
"And you, darling?" she asked. "What is your line?"
no subject
He regarded her with a look, almost of amusement. "I am Raphael." What other title did he need.
no subject
She much preferred the artist.
"Of course, dear," she said.

A rare commodity, these days.
"I'm afraid you're turning to the wrong person for modern turns of phrase," she said. "I'm from 1932. A relic, or so I'm told. Most people here seem to be from the early 2000s."

"Prior to Donnie-" he indicated the body he was wearing "And one particularly stubborn human, I haven't spoken to them in a few thousand years."
no subject
Well...almost.
"Safe to assume that you're from their world?"

A moment of searching later and a small "Ah ha." She held her arm out to Raphael, allowing him to see a video of her beloved Pendragon from their most recent conversation.
"Pendragon?"
no subject
He debated blowing Gabriel's cover. He still might, in fact.
no subject
She shrugged. It was the truth, after all. Even if she had a certain motivation behind it.
"How do you know him?"
no subject
"Despite what many believe, there's only a literal handful of beings older than myself - the pagans don't even compare as old compared to the Host."
no subject
Damn thing.
Shoving it into silence once more, she tilted her head. "So where does Pendragon compare to you?"
