Blackout, blackout!
Who: The residents of Cape Kore
Where: The center of town, near the ruined fountain
When: Day 100
What: Stane gathered some supplies for a community fire. Consider this a party-style post reacting to the lack of power and the loss of the communicators.
After the power goes out, Stane spends a few minutes standing stock still in the room, holding his breath and waiting for it to come back, but he doesn't waste too much time lingering in that kind of hopefulness. People are going to need things; they're going to need fire to cook and boil water, and they're going to need to do something about the food that's going to spoil.
It's so important that he helps them. It's so important that he helps them stay alive. Maybe the dream sharing is getting to him, maybe it's made his nightmares... feel real, but...
They're going to survive this. He's determined.
He gathers some wood that can be used for firewood and kindling, and he leaves them in the center of the town; he has no way of announcing that the things are there, really, but he cups his hands around his mouth and shouts a general Go to the fountain! Maybe someone will hear him.

If anyone expects me to stoop to decorating their house it'd be what they deserve.
But if the lights are going to be off for too long, we'll need to decorate this place with some flame. For safety.

[........oh god.]
No offence, but if we're gonna light the place up, I'm not sure you should be the one in charge of doing it.

[He bares his teeth in a wide, wide grin, as images of how the lighthouse- no, the library- no, the entire town would look wreathed in flames]
I've set nations alight.

I'm not stupid enough to set myself alight. But we need fire near the woods to keep the beasts at bay.
[He's remembering the fire he made for those glorious few minutes before Castiel interfered. He needs that again and soon]

[But Dilandau makes a good point about the various animals. Castiel's own 'pet' had been more domesticated than most, but it had taken a good chunk out of him nonetheless. It's a very real threat.]
Not too near the woods, I think. Don't want a repeat of your last little escapade, do we? As a wise bear once said - only you can prevent forest fires.

[That fire had been a labour of love that had taken days to craft. It'd take hours to fan a fire to the size that he'd achieved in minutes after that one had been lit. It's galling, and worse, Ellen won't show him how to make napalm.]
I just some bonfires between the town and forest. That'll be enough. To drive away the animals, that is.
no subject
[Ellen is such a meanypants.]
So long as the animals aren't pyromaniacs too, it could work. Just try not to enjoy yourself too much while you're at it.

[Probably just as much as Dilandau enjoys fire-setting, really.]
However, mine doesn't usually come with the risk of burning down the entire village... and if it did, I could always just [he snaps his fingers] fix things. Can you say the same? Putting out a wildfire isn't so easy as starting one.

I can't do my job here like I'm meant to, so I'll satisfy myself seeing the fires contained. But if we weren't trapped in here, I'd show you that you don't put out fires, you let them put themselves out when they've reached their completion.
no subject
[He sighs.]
Make sure you do keep 'em contained, alright? Otherwise I think some of us will get quite annoyed with you, and trust me, you don't want that.

Castiel made that clear enough the time he was kicking my ribs in.
no subject
Did he, now? Good for him. Nice bit of healthy stress relief does everyone good. And you seem to have learnt your lesson, which is yet another bonus.
[Admittedly Dilandau seems to have healed up from it fairly well, but he supposes that's just what happens. He's not really an expert on healing times anyway, given that he doesn't usually have to deal with it himself.]

You're fond of a few of the one true god's angel's, aren't you?
[The information is filed away for the day one of the two is weak and he wants to take vengeance on the other]
no subject
[He leers. He doesn't really expect to be believed, but it's always fun trying to make people uncomfortable.]
no subject
Someone ought to tell the ones you associate with that he created razors too.
no subject
[No he won't, if only because he doesn't think they'd react anywhere near as amusingly as Dilandau.]
Though I gotta say, peach fuzz, I'm surprised you even know what a razor is. Doesn't look like you'll be using one any time in the next ten years or so.

[Though Gabriel's right, with his age and the colour of his hair he'd be able to get away with skipping this routine often with no one the wiser, but he refuses to, because he'll know he's got stubble and it's not acceptable]

Be quiet! I'm not going to grow a beard to prove you wrong, you doughy little piece of- [The insults cut off abruptly as he realises what he's yelling at. He sits down quickly]
no subject
Well, don't judge him, there's no TV - he has to get his entertainment where he can.]
Oh, don't stop there, kiddo. You've got me interested. Doughy little piece of what, exactly?
[He doesn't sit down, just stays standing there, hands tucked in his pockets and a very smug smile on his face. He tilts his upper body to the side a little, though, to make sure he can get a good look at Dilandau's expression.]

It was nothing.

He looks up warily to see how wrathful he looks]
You were rude first.
[He's ready to either fling himself away or hastily kowtow]
