Blackout, blackout!
Who: The residents of Cape Kore
Where: The center of town, near the ruined fountain
When: Day 100
What: Stane gathered some supplies for a community fire. Consider this a party-style post reacting to the lack of power and the loss of the communicators.
After the power goes out, Stane spends a few minutes standing stock still in the room, holding his breath and waiting for it to come back, but he doesn't waste too much time lingering in that kind of hopefulness. People are going to need things; they're going to need fire to cook and boil water, and they're going to need to do something about the food that's going to spoil.
It's so important that he helps them. It's so important that he helps them stay alive. Maybe the dream sharing is getting to him, maybe it's made his nightmares... feel real, but...
They're going to survive this. He's determined.
He gathers some wood that can be used for firewood and kindling, and he leaves them in the center of the town; he has no way of announcing that the things are there, really, but he cups his hands around his mouth and shouts a general Go to the fountain! Maybe someone will hear him.

Was there an accident we know of, or is this out of the blue completely?

Firstly she was tortured, yes tortured by the crazy hunter chick - which her throat still hasn't fully healed from - thanks for that Ellen. The wannabe actress from Sheboygan sends her thanks too.
But now? Now the power has to go and die right in the middle of her shower. Fantastic. Could this day get much worse? Actually, wait. Forget she said that. Things could be much worse.
On hearing Stane's yelling she makes her way to the fountain, hair still dripping and thoroughly miserable. ]
So who forgot to feed the meter?

But then, seeing Meg is a little different. On the one hand, she's corrupting his baby brother (which is a point in her favour) and he feels kinda bad about just standing by and chatting to Ellen instead of actually helping her. On the other, she's corrupting his baby brother (which is a point against her) and she's evil. And she looks amusingly pissed off, which is the deciding factor: why apologise or be concerned when he could just poke fun?]
Whoever it was, kudos to them. This is just what the community needed - a chance to sit around the campfire singing kumbayas and toasting marshmallows.

It would be the scientists, right? I mean, they--
[ And then he catches sight of her. Dripping wet and with a scar on her throat that he's pretty sure wasn't there before. He frowns. He knows she's a demon, and making sure she's okay is the last thing he should do, but, ]

She tries not to let it get to her, insulating the fish with as much ice is left. That's her hard work in there. After that, finally, she hears the sound of yelling and voices. By then, there's a fire. She heads out in that direction to see what's going on, sitting down near it to get warmed up. Fiddling with what she could of the outside of the house, without a jacket, wasn't a wise decision. Mornings are chilly, after all. Jazz sits close by, green eyes watchful, as she tries to absorb everything she hears around her.]

Hello, there.
[He wasn't entirely chipper, and a bit curious to see how people reacted to his presence. Undoubtedly, they haven't forgotten what he had done just but a month ago now, but no one seemed interested in attacking him yet. Signs of progress, perhaps?]

Do you, uh, want my coat?
[ He starts slipping it off his shoulders before she even starts to reply, just in case, to demonstrate his willingness, that it's not an empty gesture. Ned is just that sort of person: he really would give an almost-stranger the coat off his back, if he thought it would help ]

Don't suppose there's a magic stock of torches lying about somewhere? [ She frowns. ] Or a back-up generator for the fridges and freezers? I mean they'll keep cold awhile as long as people don't keep opening the doors. But I can't see an electrician popping by any time soon.

He finally ventured outside of his house and that's when he heard Stane. Farther away than a human could hear, but Alec wasn't human. So he made his way to the fountain. Having feline DNA was coming in handy considering how dark everything was. It didn't take him long to reach the fountain and survey the situation. He probably should have stayed in his home, but if people were coming to his home he'd rather not be in it if they arrived. ]

The group doesn't really interest Clint too much. He'll mingle though because isn't there safety in numbers? That's still a thing? He's feeling oddly outnumbered though with the people from his world going AWOL. Steve, Natasha (though technically not his), Tony and Bruce. He's the last man standing and it's freaking him out. This situation isn't doing much to help. Plus he's still really pissed at Kenzi going missing. ] Guess a really gnarly game of hide and seek is out of the question? [ He feels awkward. Stupid stuff comes out of his mouth when he feels awkward. ]

He's quiet when he joins the group around the fire, and his eyes scan over everyone present just to make sure they're okay. Nobody seems hurt or particularly shaken, as far as he can see, so that at least comes as some relief. He's as curious as everyone else as to what's up, but taking notice of the comments and questions of others, he simply remains silent and stands off to the side. No point in stating what's already been said, after all. Instead, he opts for now to just listen to the quiet chatter and watch the fire, only in part because he's a bit unsure of how to approach a human--or non-human, as the case may be--in order to strike up casual conversation.]

I say if it's still out in an hour or so we eat all the ice cream before it melts.
[ He smiles, even though it's a feeble attempt at a joke: there is no ice cream to be eaten. All the same, the food that people have been storing is going to start going bad soon, and that is a real concern. They can't really afford to waste any of it, at this stage. So he's just... attempting to convert his very real anxieties into humor, and not succeeding ]

After an initial walk through those gathered, he seats himself on the ground, a bit out of the way, near enough to catch snatches of conversation but not so near as to be entirely involved. He will gladly teach those in need how to live by more "primitive" means. For now, however, the sky is more interesting than the initial confusion and anxiety of losing one's creature comforts and he's already put in his two cents here and there.
