Who: Everyone who sees the network post re: the explosion and the impending blob threat!
When: Morning of Day 196. The blob threat and altered personalities have an open-ended date, atm, so people can be dealing with those as they wish!
Where: One of the science labs.
What: The orb causes an explosion of sorts in the lab, which results in two things: 1) some characters act "off," their personalities altering in some way, and 2) there are tiny red blobs (very The Blob-esque) everywhere that are harmless until you get close enough and you realize they want to jump onto your face.

[ The lab is a mess; cabinets and drawers are open, some faucets are dripping, and there's glass and scattered paper and things everywhere. Most troubling, however, are the blobs that like to suffocate people.

Freeze them, contain them in cupboards or whatever intact container you find handy, see if they're afraid of the Bunsen burner, try to use weapons on them -- best to get them cleaned up quickly, though! ]

Who: Balthazar, Meja
When: Overnight, day 170-171
Where: Dream-sharing
What: Looking for that city, but it may take a while to get there.
Warning: None

Despite Balthazar's compulsive innuendo, there's really no need for him and Meja to snuggle up in the same bed, or even the same room, in order to attempt dream-sharing. In fact, given the place's propensity to dump people back in their own dorms if they stray for too long, it's probably smarter to just settle in and hope they meet in dreams.

Balthazar can't help but feel chilled in the new emptiness of the space he once shared with Gabriel, and wonders if it will even be possible for him to sleep. Still, once he lies down and forces his eyes to close, it doesn't take too long to drift. Kore has that effect, somehow, even on an angel.

Who: Watson and Open.
When: Day 156
Where: the atrium
What: dog days.
Warning: violence. strange comedy. John Watson with a sword.

It was a grim sight. On the first day into the invasion; which was what John privately thought of it, even if there hadn't been any kind of official notification. By the second day, things seemed like a nightmare come to life. If he'd had any lingering doubt about the strange, other worldly quality of this place, it was all but vanished upon the first blood welling bite.

Rather luckily, John had been heading into his own room at the time. A quick slam of the door had dislodged that particular dog's efforts. Still. It took a moment for him to work through the reality of the situation. He'd been tricked once before, into believing that a killer canine was after him. This wasn't the hallucinogen and shadows playing havoc with his mind though.

This was bitter horror.

John's next worry was for Sherlock, and Mary, and Meja. (and more or less just anyone else in the building, yes, even Gabriel) So he went and tried tracking down those dearest to him. More or less successfully in some cases.

When he found Meja, he'd discovered another interesting fact. She had a spare sword, broad and well balanced. His normal talents were well into the area of sharp shooting, but gunless, he fell back on other kinds of military training and sheer determination.

On the third day; John was walking through the Atrium of the building. He'd encountered one roaming pack the night before, but hadn't found someplace safe to hold up in for a quick nap. Needless to say, Watson was a tired man, but he soldiered on.

Who: Watson and Open. (with a thread for Sherlock)
When: Day 151
Where: Kitchen and various.
What: John has found his footing a bit, but more puzzles have arisen.
Warning: none.

[for sherlock; kitchen]

John was making tea. It was something of a ritual, in fact. He found something different to look at every day he was here, but in the end, tea was always there for him. John was rather fond of tea.

There was someone else he suspected that he was rather fond of, though he couldn't say exactly how it was so. It was something that he needed to discuss with Sherlock.

Sherlock.

Everything else faded a bit when he thought about that too. Well. Now that John was able to think of his friend without wanting to crush his tea cup he thought maybe it was high time to actually see the other man, so he sent a short text, informing Sherlock of his location. Whether the infamous consulting detective would show? That was anyone's guess.

[open]

At some point in the day, John thought it might be nice to stop by the Hydroponics Lab and visit with Meja. She was a nice woman and one could never have enough of those in one's life. Until then, John's feet led him in search of another nice woman. The one that was unforgettable. Only, John seemed to have forgotten her.

He wanted to know why these memories were missing. She was a mystery. Not the kind that could be solved like a case. But.. the kind that took a lifetime to unravel. Here he was thinking thoughts that had no business being tied to strangers but.. well, John was a man of particular quirks of his own. Getting attached far too fast and far too easily was the very least of those.

In the meantime. He looked out for a door with Mary's name on it.

Who: John Watson and Open
When: Day 147
Where: John's room and various.
What: newbie be wandering

At first John just sat a good long while on his bed. It was typical. Though he'd thought himself well beyond the days when he was deliberately trolled by the universe at large. Once he'd stumbled into that sort of role however, the universe seemed reluctant to let him out of it.

His first impressions were poor, that is to say, if this was Mycroft's idea of trying to reconnect through enforced placement. John was going to have to have words with the elder Holmes. Currently the only Holmes, but that was another of those things that John didn't like to think about, so they got brushed back into the recesses of his mind. A much less organized place than one would think for such an upstanding and productive British citizen.

Realization gradually sank in however, this was no effort of Mycrofts to lure him into conversation by means of science experimentation.

He was well and truly stuck.

The where's and why's and how's of the matter spun John's head in circles until it was clear that no matter how often he tried, he was not going to deduce any answers from what was inside his conveniently labeled room. Other minds might prove better at that task, but it was always in John's nature to go and look, even if he might not know what it was he was looking for. Or at.

John H. Watson was the picture of polite curiosity, finding no one outside his room to stop him. He wandered freely.

Who: Bucky + ?
When: Days 138
Where: The Halls outside his assigned room and onward
What: Phones are for patsies.
Warning: Violence, language, fighting

The message on the phone went, for the most part, ignored. There were bigger concerns for Bucky to deal with than a stranger on the radio comms and one of those was finding where Steve and the other Commandos have vanished to. They had been preparing for the mission to intercept the train. It was a dangerous mission, but then, so were all of their missions, and the boys were crazy enough to keep on going.

But this mission was important, and more than that, they had a deadline. That was what kept him pushing on, even after waking up in a room with too much steel. Far too sterile. He had jolted awake in a panic, with wild eyes on his surroundings. For a few heart-stopping moments, the soldier had been certain he was back at the Hydra base. Fighting guards trying to strap him back down to a table.

It was enough to get his adrenaline racing and his nerves on high-alert.

Which meant that the highly-trained and dangerous soldier was walking the halls like enemy territory. A dangerous battleground. Armed only with a broken piece of chair frame and the race of his pulse, he searched for a way out, keeping radio silence to avoid getting detected sooner.

Whoever grabbed him, had to have been after all of them. Which meant Steve and the other men had to be here somewhere. They had to be.

What: Saving medicine

Martha heard the service announcement. She would make her way to the tunnels, after she A) gathered up as much medical supplies as she could carry and B) make her way out of the partially destroyed pharmacy.

So she continued to grab every bit of supplies she could as she packed bags. Somehow she'd figure out a way to carry it all.

Who: Castiel and OPEN
Where: The tunnels
When: Day 121
What: Moving on
Notes: If you want something specific with Cas, just let me know!

Castiel sets out with Meg, Sam and Dean, sticking close to them at first, especially once he realizes that his powers aren't working. He's not sure if it has to do with the fact that they've been failing or if the tunnels are doing it, but it doesn't matter right now. What matters is that he sees his friends to freedom.

He rests with them most of the time, but sometimes he scouts ahead or lets himself fall behind them, always keeping an ear out for a yell. Along the way, he comes across some of the others and he's always relieved to see that they're all doing this together. Perhaps as a group, they can deal with whatever is on the other side of this.

There's a tenseness in the unknown that looms over them. He's unsure of how long these tunnels will go on or if they'll split off or dead end and while it's the closest they have to a way out, it's also an easy way to wipe them out.

He walks on, flashlight held high.

Who: Maggie and [OPEN]
Where: The General Store and its immediate vicinity
When: Early afternoon on day 110
What: a delightful earthquake rocks the Cape
Notes: This post is an open catchall for anyone who wants to use it. For Maggie, please tag this thread.

It had been a pleasant morning. The power had surged, blowing out a few minor appliances, before settling back to normal. The sun had been high in the sky and the bird had been chirping. The residents of Kore couldn't ask for a nicer day, at least not if they're being realistic.

That's why it's likely a surprise when the entire town begins to shake without warning. Things fly from shelves and animals scatter as the town is overtaken by a massive earthquake.

The worst of the shaking is centered around the General Store where poor little Maggie is looking for a box of crackers. The shaking is so violent that the building itself crumbles around her and he scream can be heard echoing in nearby buildings.

[personal profile] notrosesshadow
Who: Martha and Open
When: Day 104
Where: Around the Island
What: Martha is not sleeping much at all. It's going to catch up.
Note: None for now...

Martha took a sip of water to sooth her throat, and crawled out her window yet again. She doubted her roommate would notice, but still, it was easier to just leave.

The latest nightmare had been really difficult. She had relived Japan again, but this time she saw it from The Valiant. A last look before her own execution. Her screams woke her before he could kill her, but she was shaken.

The sleepless nights were starting to catch up to her. She was trying to eat, but she was too exhausted to even feel hungry. And all possible exertion had to be saved for clinic duties. And helping people from the sea monster attack. So a few nibbles of crackers here and some canned something or other there was how she nourished herself. Ned would not be pleased.

If she were honest with herself, Martha knew she had to sleep. Had to deal with it. But the nightmares... she couldn't keep facing them. She'd rather die than be forced to watch Japan burn again. Or any of the other things she kept reliving. And so Martha walked through the night, hoping to find distraction until morning.
